This panorama is one of the most challanging and rewarding pieces of art I have ever created. I shot the Vizcaya Collectoin over a year ago and came back to it looking for a challange. This was also a chance for my work to take on a form.
I have always left out subject in almost all of my Photography for a number of reasons. First I didnt want to date the piece and secondly I wanted the Photo iteself to tell the stroy, not the subject. Eventualy I realized that the viewer can identify with a subject more than a scenery. The subject can envoke an emotion and also lead the eye through the compisition.
The entire editing process took over 30 hours. The most amazing part is that I did not shoot these photos with the vision of making a panorama. The video here shows the stages of progression in creating the piece.
